Welcome to Creative Drayton

Creative Drayton is a vibrant community initiative rooted in the much-loved Market Drayton Arts Festival, which enriched our town for over a decade. Each October, the festival brought a rich tapestry of cultural experiences to life—one of its most cherished traditions being the annual school calendar competition, which continues to inspire young artists across 13 local schools.

Born from this legacy, Creative Drayton exists to celebrate and support local artists, makers, and creatives. We’re here to nurture creativity, foster innovation, and connect people through art and cultural activity.

Our Aims

  • Empower local artisans and makers

  • Expand access to creative activities

  • Promote social inclusion and well-being

  • Support mental health and emotional well-being

  • Encourage sustainable and environmentally conscious creative practices

Creative Community Connections

As part of our mission, we are keen to work with local groups and organisations. We currently have links with Market Drayton Library, Make It Market Drayton, and Market Drayton Market.
If you run a creative group or organisation in Market Drayton or surrounding areas—or think you can support our work—please get in touch.

Our Market Stall

In May 2025, we opened a stall in Market Drayton Indoor Market, giving members of Creative Drayton a dedicated outlet to sell their creations.
We’re open every Wednesday and Saturday—come by and explore what our local makers have to offer.
