Denise McGowan will help you create a Postcard for our competition. It is open to all ages and abilities. Make a 12cm x 17cm piece of art for the competition. This art will be exhibited and auctioned to help Newlife Charity late in February.

Tania Paling Sparkes from tangible.gallery will help you make a bright, colourful textiles star. It is easy-peasy to make and will brighten up your home or make a superb gift for that someone special, book your space asap!

Tania Paling Sparkes from tangible.gallery will help you make an image from your imagination starting from random marks. It’s like seeing pictures in clouds, creating pictures and stories which you can immerse yourself in and enjoy.

Sarah Huggins from ‘Happy Times Craft’ will teach you how to make a flag using a wooden base and fabric. Powertex liquid is then applied which adds texture and interest.

Powertex Brooch/magnet
Sarah Huggins from ‘Happy Times Craft’ is our queen of fabric sculpture. Powertex liquid is applied to fabric and shaped, once it is dry your masterpiece can either have a broach fastening or a magnet attached to the back.

a wooden base, fabric and Powertex to create texture and interest. Donations

weaving using a variety of textures and techniques. Once you have sorted your

Artisan Trail - Saturday 30th August 2025
Our annual event allows you to meet local artists and makers either at their studio or at locations around town.
The event is free and is suitable for all ages.
Why not start at the Creative Drayton stall in the Indoor Market. Here you can meet two of our members, see the wonderful art and craft on the stall and pick up a leaflet to guide you around the rest of the trail.

Denise McGowan is our creative polymath who will help you create a beautiful Botanical Room Scenter by moulding plants with plaster of paris. It will be a brilliant reminder of a super workshop that fills your rooms with delicate scents.

Acrylic Tree Painting
Tania Paling Sparkes will guide you through making this vibrant sunset by using acrylic paints. This fun workshop is suitable for people of all abilities; you can take home your atmospheric artwork to display and savour.

Kumihimo Braiding
Lucy Bogaczyk is teaching Kumihino braiding. Come and learn this simple Japanese braiding technique. Originally used by Samurai to decorate armour, it’s now a fun, calming craft that anyone can enjoy. Wear your finished braid as a bracelet, use as a bookmark or decoration. All materials are provided.
