Denise McGowan from ‘Therapeutic Art’ has nearly as many creative skills as she does years of art experience. She will guide you through creating this resin dipped mistletoe decoration which can also be used for kissing under in 2026!

Decorative Jar

Sara Ferguson from Creative Drayton will teach you how to design and paint your very own special jar to bake in the oven at home for a lasting memento of your handiwork. An assortment of glassware will be provided for this activity.

Chris Ryder from ‘Wittypics’ will show you step by step how to create a caricature and you will never look at a face again in the same way! Chris has 20 years of experience, materials are included, all are welcome, kits are available to buy.

Powertex Brooch/magnet
Sarah Huggins from ‘Happy Times Craft’ is our queen of fabric sculpture. Powertex liquid is applied to fabric and shaped, once it is dry your masterpiece can either have a broach fastening or a magnet attached to the back.
Saturday 11th October
Flag Making
Sarah Huggins from ‘Happy Times Craft’ will teach you how to make a flag using a wooden base and fabric. Powertex liquid is then applied which adds texture and interest.
Saturday 18th October
Cat Watercolour painting
Denise McGowan from ‘Therapeutic Art’ has nearly as many creative skills as she does years of creative experience. She will guide you through painting this cat picture using water colour paints to great effect.

Caricatures
Chris Ryder from ‘Wittypics’ will show you step by step how to create a caricature and you will never look at a face again in the same way! Chris has 20 years of experience, materials are included, all are welcome, kits are available to buy.

Card loom Weaving
Taina Paling Sparkes from tangible.gallery will teach you the joy of creating a mini
weaving using a variety of textures and techniques. Once you have sorted your
‘warp’ from your ‘weft’ the creative possibilities to enjoy in this art are endless.

Sea Glass Keyring
Dianne Fantucchio from ‘Natures Treasure’ collects sea glass from our
seashores to then make beautiful jewellery. She will teach you to make a key ring
using sea glass which will make a great gift or special item for you to keep.

Children's Flag Making
Sarah Huggins from ‘Happy Times Craft’ will teach you how to make a flag using
a wooden base, fabric and Powertex to create texture and interest. Donations
would be appreciated.

Artisan Trail - Saturday 30th August 2025
Our annual event allows you to meet local artists and makers either at their studio or at locations around town.
The event is free and is suitable for all ages.
Why not start at the Creative Drayton stall in the Indoor Market. Here you can meet two of our members, see the wonderful art and craft on the stall and pick up a leaflet to guide you around the rest of the trail.
