LIVE DRAWING

Chris Ryder of Wittypics is a UK Leading Caricature Artist and Cartoonist with over 20 years’ experience of providing unique entertaining caricatures for Birthdays, Weddings,  Parties and Corporate Events. Her caricatures are humorous and lifelike but not offensive. Chris has been drawing caricatures for Liverpool FC for over a decade. “They phoned me up, asked me to do a few matches, liked my work and I have been drawing there every season since then”.

COMMISSIONS

Caricatures make a great gift for all occasions and can be in black & white or colour. Chris has created many commissions over the years drawing individuals, couples and small groups including avatars for business, staff members for websites and company Christmas Cards to mention just a few. 

BOOK ILLUSTRATION

Chris has illustrated several books. The latest being The New History of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC by Clive Corbett, which comprised of over a hundred pages of footballers and original cartoons. Chris has recently qualified in a Children’s Book Illustration Course from London College of Art and been awarded with a ‘Distinction’

CARD DESIGNS

Chris enjoys creating cartoons for clients but has now started to create her own cartoon cards and designs. You can see some of her ranges on the Creative Drayton stall in Market Drayton indoor market. As this is a new venture for Chris, many more ranges are in the pipeline. 

WORKSHOP & KITS

Prior to becoming a caricature artist, Chris was a primary school and special needs teacher, who went back into schools to do fun workshops with the kids on how to draw people as cartoons. This led to the creation of her ‘Learn To Draw Kit’.  The kit can be purchased from Creative Drayton or a downloadable version which can be used on a tablet is available from her website shop at www.wittypics.co.uk  for £2.50. 

Chris does both Adults and Children’s workshops. 

FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS

Chris has drawn and painted since she was five year’s old and it was always a childhood dream to become a professional artist. So the commercial side of that dream has been realised! As with most creative people Chris enjoys exploring her creativity and now produces paintings in watercolour but intends to have fun seeing where the creative journey takes her next.
