Passion for Art
Art has always been a passion of mine, but my career as an employment lawyer at a national firm left little room for creative expression. After stepping away from the legal field, a lifelong friend encouraged me to tap into my artistic side and surprised me with a workshop led by an incredible Mandala art expert. From that moment, I was completely captivated. Mandala, which means "circle" or "universe" in Sanskrit, features intricate patterns that not only enchant the eye but also promote a mindful and relaxing creative process.
Beautiful Mandalas
Mandala art lends itself beautifully to various mediums. My most popular creations are made from hand-cast stones using moulds. Some examples include tea-light holders, candlesticks, vases, and decorative pieces for trees and doors. Additionally, I enjoy painting on glass, wood, and canvas, and I have crafted mirrors and clocks in custom colors that can't be found anywhere else. I use acrylic paints, and rather than traditional brushes, Mandala artists employ "dotting" tools to achieve their designs.
The Future
I currently sell my work through a local craft shop, but I'm eager to expand into markets and craft fairs. I also aspire to start offering workshops to share this rewarding artistic journey with others.
